DHI hair transplant, which is referred to as direct hair transplant, is one of the newest techniques applied in the field of hair transplant today. Unlike other techniques, a medical pen called CHOI is used when performing hair transplant with this method. Thanks to this medical pen, the grafts are collected, then the hair taken is placed directly on the skin without any incisions or channels. There are 3 other hair transplant methods, such as grooving, graft collection and graft transplantation. DHI method is known to be the most practical. The advantage of the DHI technique is that the hair follicles are kept out of the tissue for a minimum period of time which increases the survival rate. Since the incision area is minimal, the risk of bleeding becoms minimal as well. After the operation, crusting and recovery time is shorter compred to other hair transplant methods. Again, there is no need to completely shave the hair with this method.
