Zirconium crowns are a type of crowns applied for the removal of more severe caries, tooth fractures and discoloration of the teeth. Due to its semi-permeable feature, zirconium is very similar to natural tooth enamel, and thanks to this feature, it provides the closest appearance to the natural tooth. Zirconium is stronger, harder and more resistant to breakage. It can be used as a coating on a single tooth, or it can be used in bridge construction in cases where one or more teeth are lost. When getting zirconium crowns, the teeth are first brought to the appropriate size for the dental bonding process. After the teeth are prepared, measurements are taken for the crowns. The crowns are prepared in a color that is suitable to the natural tooth colour and the process is finished with the dental bonding of the crowns.
